Saint Peter's University Hospital has long been recognized as one of New Jersey's
leading health care facilities for infants and children. We are one of only eight
designated children's hospitals, and we are the only hospital in central New
Jersey certified to treat both seriously ill children and high-risk newborns. Our
nursing excellence has earned us recognition as a magnet hospital, and we are a
member of the exclusive Council of Women's and Infants' Specialty Hospitals.
Caring for More Children
We care for more children and babies than does any other children's hospital in
central New Jersey. Approximately 9,000 children are hospitalized at Saint Peter's
every year, and more than 45,000 seek care in our emergency and outpatient facilities
annually. All these young patients receive the most advanced and comprehensive pediatric
health care available.
Medical Education and Training
As a major teaching hospital, Saint Peter's is at the forefront of the latest research,
treatments and procedures. Through our affiliation with
Drexel University College of Medicine and
The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), our
pediatric residents are constantly expanding their skills to provide patients with
care using the latest medical techniques.
